'West Ham fans are comfortably the most deluded fans in the country, I like West Ham, never minded them despite their game raising antics down the years, but there is no doubt they are massively deluded about their club and how they are supposed to play.
As I said in my previous post, the similarities between this West Ham and Big Sams Bolton or basically any other Big Sam team are endless, let's not pretend that because West Ham have Payet they play swashbuckling tiki taka possession football.
They're still very direct, still score a lot of goals from set pieces, crosses etc. Half their team are 6 feet and over, energetic central midfield players, a target man forward, wingers. Big no nonsense blocks at centre back.
There is no doubting Allardyce's impact on this team, Bilic is tactically more astute, absolutely, but if you swap the two managers at the start of the season, bring in the quality they got in the summer, West Ham will be in a similar position and I base this on facts, the fact the Bolton team that Allardyce was given time with, with a smallish budget turned into the most irritating opposition in the PL and qualified for Europe twice.'
